Trailer Talk

The-Hunt-1

I am becoming rather fond of discussing upcoming films with anyone who is willing to partake. It’s nice to see that other cinephiles ache in anticipation as I do while waiting for certain pictures to be released. Let’s get started shall we?

First up, Man of Steel and Star Trek Into Darkness both released new trailers this past week. You’ll find them both below.

Man of Steel: Trailer #3.

Star Trek Into Darkness: Trailer #3.

One thing I found rather unmissable in the Man of Steel trailer was the incredible musical score, composed by none other than the magnificent Hans Zimmer. Turns out I wasn’t the only one. There is a video linked below containing the Man of Steel trailer in its entirety, without any dialogue, just the music. It is quite enthralling.

Next up, The Hunt starring Mads Mikkelsen. I’ve had the privilege of already seeing this movie and will have my review for it hopefully up this week. I highly recommend this film to anyone, a heart-stopping thriller.

The last trailer I’d like to post is a bit older, but still very effective. V/H/S 2, the follow up to cult favourite V/H/S is set for release in July 2013, with a VOD pre-release set for June 2013. The film was recently screened at the Tribeca Film Festival and received generally positive reviews. To say that I am overly excited to see V/H/S 2 would be an understatement. I’ll try to get my V/H/S review up soon.

Finally, here is the first clip from Star Trek Into Darkness.

If you have anything you want to discuss about any of the films posted or any that I may have missed, fell free to comment. No one loves a good film discussion more than myself!
