For those not familiar with TCM Canon, here’s a refresher…

Started last week, The Cinema Monster will be creating its very own canon. Only the best of the best will make it to our illustrious recommendation page. Each genre will have 10 films entered, beginning with Horror since its October. But what fun would it be just posting a little blurb about the film? I thought it’d be fun to include our beloved readers in a little game.

The rules are very simple. I will post a picture of a horror film that ranks inside my personal top 10 and the first person to guess the title of the film correctly will win. The film’s are in no specific order. After the first hour, I will add another, more detailed picture. Then with the second hour, a third and final image will be added to assist in surmising an answer. All guesses can be posted in the comment section below or to me on twitter (@cinema_monster). However, all correct guesses will be blocked until the next day when the winners are announced.

The first film inducted last week was “The Descent” and the second film announced yesterday was “The Devil’s Backbone.”
